Disability Services at Harmony Music Therapy

At Harmony Music Therapy, we provide strengths-based, adaptive music therapy services for children, teens, and adults with disabilities. Our programs are designed to meet each person where they are—honoring unique ways of communicating, learning, moving, and engaging with the world.

Led by board-certified music therapists, our services support communication, emotional regulation, social connection, confidence, and joy through meaningful music-making. Whether you’re looking for individualized therapy, adapted music instruction, or small, supportive group experiences, we offer flexible options that respect neurodiversity and focus on growth through relationship and music.

Our beautiful Harmony Center is located in Midvale, Utah. We occasionally provide in home sessions if scheduling allows, but the majority of our sessions take place in our Midvale center.

What We Offer

Individual Music Therapy

One-on-one music therapy sessions led by board-certified music therapists, fully tailored to each client’s strengths, needs, and goals. Sessions support communication, emotional regulation, social connection, and self-expression through live music, movement, and relationship-based interaction. Individual music therapy is ideal for children, teens, and adults who benefit from a personalized, flexible, and strengths-based approach.

Adapted Music Lessons

Adapted music lessons combine music instruction with therapeutic support for learners who may not thrive in traditional lessons. We modify pacing, expectations, and teaching methods to meet each student’s unique learning style, sensory needs, and attention profile. These lessons focus on building musical skills, confidence, and joy while supporting regulation, frustration tolerance, and meaningful engagement.

All Abilities Rock Band

All Abilities Rock Band is a small, supportive group for teens and adults who want to make music together in a flexible, inclusive environment. Led by board-certified music therapists, Rock Band supports collaboration, confidence, communication, and belonging through shared music-making. Participants explore instruments, play together as a band, and have opportunities for optional live performances throughout the year.

Harmony Clubhouse Social Groups

Harmony Clubhouse groups provide a nurturing, music-centered space for children of all ages to build social connection, communication, and regulation alongside peers. Groups are intentionally small and structured to support a wide range of developmental and sensory needs. Through music, movement, and play, children are supported in engaging at their own level while developing confidence, flexibility, and connection with others.

Current Clubhouse Groups:

  • Age 5-7: Mondays 4:00-4:50pm
