Occupational Therapy/Music Therapy Groups

We partner with the Life Skills Clinic at the University of Utah to provide collaborative groups in which both a Music Therapist and an Occupational Therapist are present. These groups may focus on a range of goals based on the needs of the group members. Some of these areas may include:

  • motor planning and improved coordination
  • sensory processing disorder
  • fine motor development
  • visual-motor development
  • social and play skill development
  • self-regulatory skills
  • self-care skills
  • access and use of assistive technology

Groups are for any age range and may take place at the Life Skills Clinic at the University of Utah, in client homes, or at Harmony Music Therapy in Sandy, Utah.

Speech Therapy/Music Therapy Groups

We partner with Browning Speech Therapy, LLC to provide collaborative speech/music groups. Each group always has 2-4 children and at least one Music Therapist and one Speech Therapist, each with an understanding of the unique needs of the individual clients. This collaboration leads to accelerated progress in a variety of domains including social skills, cognitive development, emotional regulation, and speech and language development. Some goals may include:

  • Articulation
  • Intentional Communication
  • Social Skills
  • Joint Attention
  • Language Development
  • Speech Development

Groups are for any age range and may take place in client homes, or at the Harmony Music Therapy Studio in Sandy, Utah.
